Position Summary: GGP has an immediate need for a Manager, Guest Services at Eastridge Mall in San Jose, CA. The Guest Services Managers (GSM) role is to oversee a team of Hosts that are responsible for ensuring each Mall guest has an outstanding customer experience that is delightful, easy, and exceptional. The Manager role is to inspire, direct, and empower their team with the information, tools, and support to deliver a premium guest experience. They will be required to interact with retailers, other Mall teams, and guests. The GSM is required to work a varied schedule that will include holidays, nights and/or weekends. Responsibilities include the following: -Ensures effective communication with Guest Services Hosts through daily meetings to review Mall Happenings and monthly meetings to affect collaboration and improvements -Connects with and builds relationships with Tenants, collecting relevant information to support the promotion of their stores and store events -Ensures Hosts are up to date with information -Reviews guests’ feedback from all sources including Guest Satisfaction Surveys, Mystery Shop data, Social Media and implements SMART action plans for improvement -Communicates with other departments to ensure familiarity with what is happening in the Mall, marketing initiatives and operation needs -Plans and Conducts departmental training -Oversees functions such as Same Day, texting, gift wrap, and more where applicable, ensuring complete guest satisfaction -Completes all ordering/purchasing for department in line with checkbook/budget to any variance to budget must be approved by senior management Manages all GGP and Mall technology ensuring appropriate use and functionality -Manages all aspects of GGP Gift Card business. Ensures team members are compliant in gift card procedures and handling -Approves and facilitates Guest Service Hosts performance feedback and annual performance reviews -Solves, rectifies and mediates guest’s issues -Assists in continuously evaluating the performance of Guest Services Hosts and takes corrective actions with appropriate documentation when necessary -Manages Hosts schedule, ensuring coverage for busy periods, weekends and holidays. Flex staffing in a smart and diligent manner. Resolves any staffing issues and takes corrective action to prevent future issues. -Approves and facilitates Guest Service Hosts performance feedback and annual performance reviews -Solves, rectifies and mediates guest’s issues -Assists in continuously evaluating the performance of Guest Services Hosts and takes corrective actions with appropriate documentation when necessary -Manages Hosts schedule, ensuring coverage for busy periods, weekends and holidays. Flex staffing in a smart and diligent manner. MIT - Manager in Training program The Manager in Training (MIT) program is a blended-learning, ten week program focused on immersing a manager in all aspects involved in managing a multi-million dollar business for Abercrombie & Fitch. Training takes place in our domestic and international store locations. Each week the program focuses on a different aspect of running the business. The program trains the MIT on the necessary principles of management; including creating the best in-store experience, recruiting, diversity, human resources, store operations, and visual merchandising.
